Release Update: Receipt-Style Quote and Invoice Emails
The quote and invoice emails your customers get now read like a printed receipt. Your business name sits at the top, then the amount, the job, the line items, and the subtotal, tax and total, with one button to approve the quote or pay the invoice. Customers can see exactly what they are paying for before they open the link.
We also fixed two things the old emails got wrong. A reminder on a part-paid invoice used to ask for the full total, even though the pay page only charges what is left. The email, its subject line and the attached PDF now show what has been paid and ask for the balance. Quote emails also said "Valid for 30 days" every time. They now show the quote's real expiry date, the same one on the quote page.
Signing up is quicker too. Continue with Google is now the first option on the sign-up page, and it no longer stays locked until you tick a box. Agreeing to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy is a single line under the buttons, and both links open in a new tab, so you never lose what you typed.
And if you mistype an address on cashwrench.com, you now get a proper page instead of a bare error. It shows the address you typed, underlines the typo, and links to the page you most likely meant.
What's included
- Quote and invoice emails laid out like a receipt: your business name, the amount, the job and the line items.
- Subtotal, tax and total broken out the same way as on the PDF and the pay page.
- Longer quotes list the first six items and say how many more are on the full quote.
- Reminders on part-paid invoices show the amount already paid and ask only for the balance.
- Quote emails show the quote's actual expiry date instead of a fixed 30 days.
- Continue with Google comes first on the sign-up page and is no longer locked behind a checkbox.
- A mistyped address shows a "Did you mean" link to the right page.
