CashWrench (“CashWrench”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a field service management platform operated by CashWrench LLC, a California limited liability company headquartered in Sacramento, California. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our website at cashwrench.com and our mobile and web application (collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you create an account or use the Service, we collect:

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, business name, and trade type
  • Billing information: payment card details (processed and stored by our payment processor — we do not store full card numbers)
  • Job and customer data: customer names, addresses, phone numbers, job details, estimates, invoices, and photos you upload
  • Communications: messages you send to us via email, support chat, or contact forms

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Service, we automatically collect:

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, actions taken, session duration, and error logs
  • Device information: device type, operating system, browser type and version, and unique device identifiers
  • Log data: IP address, access times, referring URLs, and crash reports
  • Location data: approximate location derived from IP address; precise location only if you grant permission on a mobile device

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from:

  • Payment processors (e.g. Stripe) confirming payment status and billing details
  • SMS providers (e.g. Pingram) confirming message delivery status
  • Analytics providers providing aggregated usage insights

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Service — create and manage your account, process payments, send invoices and quotes on your behalf, and deliver outbound SMS notifications to your customers
  • Communicate with you — send transactional emails and SMS (account alerts, billing reminders, trial expiry notices, product updates)
  • Improve the Service — analyse usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and develop new features
  • Enforce our Terms — detect fraud, investigate abuse, and protect the security of the Service
  • Comply with legal obligations — respond to lawful requests from government authorities or as otherwise required by law

We do not use your data to train AI or machine learning models. We do not sell your personal information.

3. SMS Communications

3.1 Account & Transactional SMS

By providing your phone number and creating an account, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from CashWrench, including:

  • Account verification and security alerts
  • Billing reminders and subscription status notifications
  • Trial expiry reminders

Message frequency varies based on account activity. Standard message and data rates may apply.

3.2 Outbound SMS on Your Behalf

The Service allows you to send outbound SMS messages to your own customers (e.g. invoice delivery, quote notifications, Google review requests). You are responsible for ensuring you have obtained appropriate consent from your customers before sending messages through the Service, in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and any other applicable law.

3.3 Opting Out

To stop receiving SMS messages from CashWrench, reply STOP to any message. You will receive a single confirmation and no further messages will be sent. Reply HELP for assistance. Opting out of SMS does not cancel your subscription.

3.4 No Sale or Sharing of Mobile Data

Your mobile number and SMS opt-in data will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes under any circumstances.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

4.1 Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the Service. These vendors are contractually bound to use your data only to provide services to us and are prohibited from using it for their own purposes. Current categories of service providers include:

  • SMS delivery — Pingram
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure — Vercel, Inc.

  • Email delivery — Pingram

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of CashWrench, our users, or the public.

4.3 Business Transfers

If CashWrench is acquired, merges with another company, or sells substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or in-app notice before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4.4 With Your Consent

We may share your information with third parties when you have explicitly consented to that sharing.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

  • Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription and for 90 days after account termination, after which it is deleted or anonymised
  • Billing records are retained for 7 years as required for tax and accounting compliance
  • Job and customer data you have entered is retained until you delete it or your account is terminated
  • Log and analytics data is retained for up to 24 months in identifiable form, then anonymised

You may request deletion of your data at any time as described in Section 7.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
  • Access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel only
  • Regular security assessments and monitoring

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

7.4 Opt-Out of Marketing Communications
