Delete your CashWrench account
You can delete your account and all of the data in it at any time. This page explains how to request it, what gets removed, and how long it takes.
Applies to the CashWrench mobile app (com.cashwrench.app) and cashwrench.com, operated by CashWrench LLC.
How to request deletion
Use whichever option fits your situation. Both lead to the same deletion and the same timeline.
Option 1 — from inside the app
Open CashWrench, go to Settings, choose Delete Account, and confirm. Your request takes effect straight away, with no waiting on us.
Option 2 — by email
If you have already uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email contact@cashwrench.com from the address on your account with the subject “Account deletion request”. We confirm the account is yours and schedule the deletion within five business days. You do not need to reinstall the app, and there is no charge.
What happens, and when
Deletion runs on a 30-day grace period, so an accidental request is never final on the day you make it.

Immediately
Your account is deactivated and you can no longer use CashWrench. If you have an active paid subscription, it is cancelled at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you are never billed again after making the request.

For the next 30 days
Nothing is erased yet. Changed your mind? Just sign back in and the deletion is cancelled with everything intact. If the request had cancelled a subscription you were still paying for, that subscription is resumed automatically.

After 30 days
Your account and its data are permanently erased from our systems by an automated daily job. This step is final. Nothing can be recovered afterwards, by you or by us.
Export your records first
Your customer list, jobs, quotes, and invoices can be exported from Settings › Exports while your account is still active. Do this before you request deletion, because we cannot retrieve any of it once the grace period ends.
What gets deleted
Once the grace period ends, all of the following is erased permanently, including the uploaded files behind it:
- Your profile and sign-in credentials: name, email address, phone number, business name, trade, and logo
- Every customer record you created, including names, addresses, and phone numbers
- All jobs, quotes, invoices, and their line items
- Expenses and uploaded receipts
- Job photos, quote signatures, and any other files you uploaded
- Imported bank transactions, import history, and generated exports
- In-app notifications and phone/email verification records
- Support tickets you opened and every message in them
What we keep, and why
A small amount of information survives deletion, either because the law requires it or because it was never attached to your account in the first place:
Payment and transaction records
Our payment processors keep a record of payments you made to CashWrench, which we are required to retain for tax and accounting purposes (generally seven years). We never store your full card number at any point.
Messages you sent us outside the app
Emails to our support address and submissions through the website contact form are stored separately and are not linked to your account, so account deletion does not remove them. Ask us and we will delete those too.
Anonymised usage statistics
Aggregated analytics that cannot be traced back to you or your business are kept to measure how the product is used.
Records required by law
Anything we must keep to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or enforce our Terms of Service.
If you only want to stop paying
Cancelling your subscription and deleting your account are separate things. You can cancel from Settings › Billing and keep your account, which leaves your customers, jobs, and invoice history in place for whenever you come back. Deleting your account is only necessary if you want the data gone.
