Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how CashWrench LLC (“CashWrench”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on cashwrench.com and in the CashWrench web application. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more broadly.
1. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Cookies let a site remember things between page loads and between visits — for example, that you are signed in. Some cookies are set by us (“first-party”) and some by services we use (“third-party”).
We also use closely related browser storage, such as localStorage, for the same purposes described below. Where this policy says “cookies”, it covers those technologies too.
2. Cookies We Use
This is the complete list of cookies CashWrench sets:
2.1 Strictly Necessary
These are required for the Service to function. They cannot be switched off, because without them you could not sign in or submit a form securely. They are not used for advertising and their contents are never sold or shared.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sb-…-auth-token | Keeps you signed in and refreshes your session as you navigate. Set by our authentication provider, Supabase. | Until you sign out or the session expires |
cw-profile-verified | Remembers that your account setup is already complete, so we do not re-check it on every page you open. | Browser session |
__csrf | Protects forms and account actions against cross-site request forgery. | 24 hours |
2.2 Analytics
These help us understand which pages and features are used, so we can fix problems and decide what to build next. They are not required for the Service to work.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes one visitor from another so visits can be counted. Set by Google Analytics. | 2 years |
_ga_… | Keeps track of the current analytics session. Set by Google Analytics. | 2 years |
We also use Vercel Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement. It is cookieless: it stores nothing on your device and does not track you across websites.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking cookies, and we do not allow third parties to use cookies on our site for their own advertising purposes.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Two third parties may set cookies in connection with the Service:
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) sets the analytics cookies listed in Section 2.2. Google’s handling of that data is governed by its own privacy policy.
- Our payment processors may set cookies on their own hosted checkout and billing pages, for fraud prevention and to complete your payment. Those cookies are set on the processor’s domain and are governed by the processor’s policies, not this one.
4. The Mobile App
The CashWrench mobile app does not use cookies to track you. It stores your sign-in session securely on your device so you are not asked to log in every time you open the app, and that session is cleared when you sign out or delete your account. Analytics in the app is limited to crash and usage diagnostics and is not tied to advertising.
5. How to Control Cookies
You have several options:
- Browser settings. Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies. Look under Settings for “Privacy”, “Cookies”, or “Site data”.
- Opt out of Google Analytics. Google publishes a browser add-on that prevents Google Analytics from collecting data on any site you visit.
- Private browsing. Using a private or incognito window discards cookies when you close it.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and from submitting forms, so parts of the Service will stop working. Blocking analytics cookies has no effect on functionality.
6. Do Not Track
There is no industry-agreed standard for how sites should respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, so we do not currently respond to them. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, which is what such signals are typically intended to prevent.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we add or remove cookies, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be announced as described in our Privacy Policy.
