Creating a New Job
Learn how to create a job from scratch in under 60 seconds — customer, address, job type, description, and price.
Creating a new job is the starting point for everything in CashWrench. Fill in 4 fields, attach a photo if you want, and tap Create Quote. Done in under 60 seconds.
How to create a new job

Tap ➕ New Job in the bottom nav
This opens the New Job form from anywhere in the app.

Select or add a customer
Tap the Customer field and search for an existing customer or add a new one with their name and phone number.

Enter the address
Type the job address or tap to use your current location.

Pick a job type
Choose from Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, or your custom trade types. This helps organise your history.

Add a description
A short note about the job — e.g. 'Leak under kitchen sink'. Your customer will see this on their quote.

Set an estimated price
Enter your estimate. This auto-fills as the first line item when you build the quote.

Attach a photo (optional)
Tap the photo zone to attach an image from your camera or library. Useful for documenting the job before you start.

Tap 'Create Quote'
This saves the job and takes you straight to the Quote Builder to add your line items.

Save without quotingTap 'Save' instead of 'Create Quote' to log the job without building a quote yet — useful if you want to quote later.
Frequently asked questions
No — every job needs a customer attached so the quote and invoice can be sent correctly. You can create a customer in seconds from the Customer field.
Yes. Open the job from your Dashboard or Schedule, then tap the edit icon in the top right corner.
